Watch Party in DeoVR Hyper lets you watch VR videos with others in real time. All participants stay perfectly synchronized, creating a shared virtual viewing experience similar to a private theater.
The session is controlled by a Host. When the Host plays, pauses, or seeks the video, playback updates automatically for all participants.
Before using Watch Party:
- Make sure you are logged in to your DeoVR account
- Watch Party is not available without authentication
Getting Started
- Install the latest version of DeoVR Hyper from the Meta Store
- Launch the app
- Log in to your DeoVR account

Select Watch Party from the bottom-right corner of the screen (next to the navigation bar)
Create a Room (Host)

Click Create to start a new session
- You will automatically become the Host

A 6-digit room code will be generated
- Share this code with others so they can join
Join a Room (Guest)
- Get the 6-digit room code from the Host

Enter the code in the input field
- Click Connect
Host Controls
As the Host, you can manage the session:
- Control playback — Play, pause, or seek for all participants
- Remove a participant — Click the ✕ next to their name in the guest list
- Show your controller/hand — Enable the “wand” button next to your nickname
- Share the room code — Use the “Copy room code” button at the top of the panel
Interface Tips
- Show or hide the panel — Click the Watch Party button again to toggle the side panel

Recenter your view — Hold the Meta button on your controller for 5 seconds
Known Limitations: No In-App Voice Chat
Voice communication is not currently supported within Watch Party.
Workaround:
- Join the DeoVR Discord server

Use one of the #Watch Party voice channels while watching
Voice chat support is planned for a future update.
